Cheers echoed across campus today as students collecting A Level results achieved 100 per cent pass rate, with four students achieving straight A* and A grades.
Kathryn McAllister achieved two A* and two A grades in her results, securing her place to study Law at Oxford University.
Our overseas students also achieved exceptional results. Anna Tofilska achieved A* in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths and an A for her EPQ. Ho Chi Wong achieved A* in Chemistry and Maths and an A in Physics, whilst Zita Hui gained an A* in Biology and Maths, an A in Chemistry and an A at EPQ.
All students studying the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) were successful with four students gaining A*/A grades.
Tom Brooksby, Headmaster, paid tribute to the outstanding achievements: “These results are the product of a great deal of effort on the part of our students and the support they receive from the school and their parents. They are very well deserved.
“The 100 per cent pass rate is another indication that our teachers have also excelled with strong results across the full range of subjects.”
All students received confirmation via UCAS of their Higher Education place with the vast majority being accepted at their first choice University. They will be studying a broad range of subjects including Engineering, Pharmacy, Music, History and Law.
2016 results are as follows:
100% Pass rate A-E
28% A*-A
60% A*-B
