19.05.17 - May Ball Raises £800

A huge thanks to teachers, parents and former students who attended our May Ball earlier this month. More than 70 tickets were sold and we raised a staggering £800!

Dressed head to toe in our glad rags, we all embraced the ‘Timeless Elegance’ theme held at the Derbyshire County Cricket Club. The ball was kindly organised by Ockbrook School Parents’ Association (OSPA) and all monies raised will go towards upgrading facilities and equipment at our school, including the purchase of a defibrillator.

OSPA Vice Chair, Jackie Smith said: “It was fantastic to see a real mix of people together, with several tables full of Sixth Form students, as well as past pupils who left our school many moons ago. We all had a fantastic evening and I’d like to thank everyone who helped towards fundraising an amazing £800.”

Headmaster, Tom Brooksby added: “A huge thank you to OSPA for another fantastically organised and thoroughly enjoyable May Ball. It was an absolute delight to have so many of our current Year 13s attend, as well as Rachael and Siobhain back to enjoy the evening too!”
