Many congratulations to our Year 11 students who have achieved excellent GCSE (and international GCSE) results this summer.
Students and teachers have worked diligently through the year and have been rewarded with a wealth of outstanding grades. Half of their examinations were graded at A* or A with six students gaining straight A*/A across the board.
The number of students achieving 5 or more A* to C grades including both English Language (iGCSE) and Mathematics (iGCSE) saw a significant increase this year rising from 84% to 87%.
Headmaster, Mr. Tom Brooksby enthused about the performance saying, “the students have acquitted themselves extremely well, they have worked hard and deserve our congratulations, I look forward to welcoming them into our Sixth Form to embark on their A Level Studies in September.”
Special mention must go to Rebecca Bailey, Laura Cook, Lucy Groome, Kezia Martin, Emma Scholes and Siobhan Thompson, all of whom achieved straight A*/A grades across all subjects in a very special accolade.
Ockbrook School’s next Open Day is on Saturday 3rd October, 10.00am – 1.00pm.
