KEY STAGE 3:

Students develop skills in creating, performing and evaluating drama at Key Stage 3 in preparation for GCSE Drama.

Study areas include:

Students are also given the opportunity to work with visiting theatre companies and audition to be in the whole school production, which is performed to friends and family in the Spring term.

KEY STAGE 4:

Examination Board/Code: AQA GCSE Drama (8261)

Students learn to collaborate with others, think analytically and evaluate effectively.  They gain confidence to pursue their own ideas and reflect and refine their efforts.  Whatever the future holds, students of GCSE drama emerge with a toolkit of transferable skills, applicable both in further studies and in the workplace.

Students also have the opportunity to work with directors, playwrights and theatre over the course of the 2 years as well as watch a variety of live theatre productions every term.

Post 16:

Examination Board/Code: AQA A Level Drama and Theatre (7262)

Students will:

Students complete three components – Drama and theatre, creating original drama and making theatre.  For the practical components student choose to work as performer, designers or directors.
